Admissions
The admissions policy for Lingdale Primary School is in line with the School Admissions Code, the School Admissions Appeals Code and admissions law. Our admissions process is fair, transparent and in partnership with Redcar and Cleveland Council. A full copy of the trust policy can be found within our policies page.
To apply for a place for reception class, please apply via the Redcar and Cleveland School Admissions process, here. The portal opens early October each year, and all applications must be in by mid January. Please check the exact date by following the link above.
If you would like to apply for a place mid-year, please contact us and we will guide you through the process.
Parents/carers considering applying for a place at Lingdale Primary School are welcome to visit the school by appointment. We look forward to meeting you.

Admission to the Nursery
Admission to the Nursery is normally open to children resident within our catchment area. It is on an ‘oldest first’ basis. Children’s names can be put onto a waiting list at the Nursery or the school office.
Transferring to secondary school
Children transfer to a number of local secondary schools including: Freebrough Academy, Huntcliffe and Laurence Jackson School. We value our transition work with local schools and organise a programme of activities and visits to ensure that we do everything in our power to ensure a smooth and successful transition for our pupils.
